THE WHITE ANGEL by Djuro Zivkovic

The score of “The White Angel” is a musical shaping of elements of dynamics, radiation, kinetic and other categories that actually explain energy, love and moving–three characteristics of the angelic existence. Although in its essence an abstraction, the composition still relies on specific spiritual and also physical experience of frescoes of the angel from Mileševa monastery and it is an artistic sublimate of all previous intentions of Djuro Zivkovic.
Scored for a sinfonietta-size ensemble, it represents a valuable achievement of Serbian, Swedish and European music in the XXI century.
